Open Streets ICT returns Sunday afternoon from Noon to 4 p.m.
Wichitans of all ages can enjoy a fun, community-building afternoon along Douglas Avenue. Bikes and skateboards are allowed, or you can walk and stop at activity hubs, shop businesses on the route, and visit food and street vendors while listening to music.
Douglas Avenue will be closed to traffic for more than two miles, from Grove to Waco. Activity hubs will be located at Kennedy Plaza, Naftzger Park and East High School.
Street closures will begin at 10 a.m. and will reopen by 6 p.m.
Pets are welcome but dogs must be kept on a leash during the event. Pet watering stations will be available.
