Hundreds of people were arrested this spring during a month-long crackdown by Wichita police called Operation Triple Beam; it took place from mid-March to mid-April.
It's an initiative from the U.S. Marshals Service partnering with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to focus on areas of the city experiencing high crime rates.
73,000 fentanyl pills were confiscated in Wichita. More than 600 arrests were made, 800 warrants cleared, 82 guns seized, and 225 pounds of narcotics were recovered.
Officers also seized a large amount of methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana.
