An Ozone Alert has been issued for the Wichita area; the city says current atmospheric conditions indicate high ozone levels are possible into this evening.
The city said residents and businesses are asked to take action to reduce the emissions that create ozone. The city urges residents to refuel vehicles when it's cooler, walk or ride your bike to work, delay mowing and painting projects during the hottest parts of the day, and postponing errands until it's cooler.
