Pair of burglary suspects arrested in Wichita

Police have arrested a 31-year-old Wichita man on charges of burglary, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal damage to property, and three city-of-Wichita outstanding warrants. Police have also arrested a 35-year-old Wichita man on charges of burglary and criminal damage to property.

At about 2:45 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to a burglary-in-progress call at a home in the 400 block of N. Minnesota, to the south of Central & the Canal Route. Officers contacted the 50-year-old homeowner, who reported seeing someone inside the vacant home.


Officers searched the residence, locating the two suspects in the attic. Officers recovered some of the owner's property inside a red Toyota Sienna associated with the suspects. The younger arrestee was also found to be in possession of a prohibited weapon.

The suspects have previously been arrested for felony crimes.

The case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office.
