A 56-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle in south Wichita late Friday night.
The incident happened around 11:45 p.m., in the 3000 block of S. Broadway. Wichita Police say the man was crossing the street when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old girl. She remained on the scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Police are working to determine what led to the crash and determine fault.
This is the first fatal collision in Wichita in 2025.
