The Wichita Police Department is actively investigating the hit and run death of James. Dolton, 52. The accident happened just after 9:30 Monday night in the 2400 block of Seneca.
After being hit by a vehicle, Dolton, was transported to an area hospital by Sedgwick County EMS, where he succumbed to the injuries sustained during the accident.
Preliminary investigations suggest that a gray vehicle may have been involved in the incident and could possibly have sustained front-end damage as well as damage to the front windshield.
