Police: Arrest made in Wichita double homicide

The Wichita Police Department has made an arrest in a double homicide in Old Town.

At around 3:43 a.m. Thursday officers were called to the 300 block of N. Moore for an unknown call for police. A street sweeper had located two individuals inside a vehicle who had sustained gunshot wounds at a parking garage.

EMS and FIRE attempted life-saving measures, but were unsuccessful.  The pair were identified as Josephina Lerma-Dominguez, 20.  And Bryan

Lara-Hernandez, 21, both from Wichita.

Detectives and police officers followed up on leads, and with the assistance of surveillance cameras and FLOCK, they were albe to take a suspect into custody Thursday afternoon.

They arrested a man, 19, from Maize on suspicion of two counts of Felony Murder, and Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle.  Formal charges are pending.
