A police standoff began just before 1:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon, just west of the downtown area in the 300 block of north Walnut, when a bondsman attempted to take a wanted man into custody.
The suspect threated to shoot the bondsman, so police and sheriff's deputies were called.
Shortly after 6:30 p.m. teargas was used and the suspect came out of the home and was taken into custody.
There were no injuries.
