Police say a man was shot in north Wichita. It happened around 4:00 a.m. Tuesday morning in the 2100 block of north Ash.
A caller to 911 reported a vehicle leaving the area. Officers arrived and located the vehicle at 17th and Minneapolis. The officers found a man, 37, who had been shot. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances of what occurred. A lack of all cooperation in this investigation has affected investigators from learning all the details of this case. But they say it was not a random incident.
