Wichita Police: No explosive found, investigation continues

Investigation
KNSS

Traffic on Kellogg was shut down in both directions, after a suspicious package was found at a Wichita abortion provider.

It began around 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, when a security officer for the Trust Women abortion clinic in the 5100 block of E. Kellogg Drive, found the package, and reported it to 911.

Multiple agencies, including The Wichita Police Bomb Squad, FBI, KHP, and others, responded to the call.  A robot was used to remove the package safely.

Officials said that no explosive device was found, but they're working to determine just what was inside the package.

Kellogg was re-opened at around 1:30 p.m. after being closed for around six hours for safety reasons.
