
Wichita police are investigating following a crash at Central and Hillside. It happened just before 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening as officers encountered a speeding car traveling eastbound on Kellogg.
The vehicle, a silver Honda Accord did not respond to attempts to stop it. According to investigators, the vehicle was allegedly involved in a shooting robbery that took place this past weekend.
Officers followed the suspect vehicle, but terminated the high-speed pursuit for safety reasons.
The suspect vehicle crashed at Central and Hillside, and witnesses reported three people running from the car.
The Kansas Highway Patrol working with Wichita police set up a perimeter around the crash site. Officials say one person is in custody, but the other two are still alluding capture.
As of 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night, officers, including a K9 unit were working to locate the missing suspects.
