One person was injured after their car collided with a train in north Wichita.

It happened just before noon Friday near 21st and Broadway. First responders extracted a person who was pinned in their vehicle. They were transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
Investigators said the driver was eastbound on 21st when they went around the warning signs. A train, traveling at a slow speed hit the car and dragged it about 200 feet.
Police believe the driver’s injuries are non-life-threatening.
