A police standoff with a man in a stolen rental truck came was resolved after several hours in south Wichita.
It began around 8:00 a.m. Monday morning when the man allegedly broke into a business at Broadway and Boston, and stole the keys to a truck. An employee called 911.
Police arrived but they man refused to get out of the truck which was still in the parking lot. After several hours negotiators convinced the man to step out of the truck, and a k-9 successfully took him down.
The suspect had minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment before being taken to jail.
