A young boy, 2, died from drowning in a NE Wichita back yard swimming pool.
It happened just before 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon in the 1900 block of Siefkin, south and west of 21st and Woodlawn.
Officers arrived and learned that the child had wandered out the house and into a backyard pool. Fire and EMS pounced the child dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
