At Wednesday Sedgwick County Commission meeting, the board got to meet the 11 interns who graduated from Project SEARCH.
The program is a business-led collaboration that enables young adults with disabilities to gain and maintain employment through training and career exploration. The students participated in three, ten-week internships in various County departments to gain real world job skills.
Commissioner Ryan Baty let those interns know how proud he was of them and how much value they brought to the county during their time there.
