The Wichita City Council has set a public hearing for April 19 on a proposed amendment to the Delano and stadium redevelopment plan.
The West Bank TIF district, which was originally established in April 2017, would be expanded under the agreement. It would include the area between McLean Boulevard and the Arkansas River, along with four other parcels to the west and northwest of the stadium.
The Wichita Wind Surge and EPC Real Estate LLC propose to build a hotel, parking garage and retail space on the site. Additional private sector development is planned by Wichita Riverfront LP.
