The Homeless Outreach Team has been working hard, encouraging Wichita’s homeless to take shelter due to the cold.
Many of the homeless remain reluctant as the emergency winter shelter only allows two bags of possessions per person, causing many to temporally part with their pets and leave their belongings behind.
Any officer, not just the H.O.T. Team are required to provide transport to a shelter.
