Law enforcement officials are investigating the discovery of skeletal remains in Allen County. The KBI and the Allen county sheriff's office are investigating the remains that were found last Saturday near Humboldt.
Around 5:30 pm Saturday, a man was searching for antler sheds when he discovered what he believed were human remains and called 911. Sheriff's officers reported the discovery of human skeletal remains. The person has not been identified yet due to the condition of the remains.
An autopsy has been scheduled, and authorities are asking anyone with any information on the case to call the KBI t 1-800-KS-CRIME, or the AllenCounty sheriffs office at 620-365-1400.
Authorities say no threats to the public exists.
