A Rose Hill man has been sentenced to sixty days in jail and four years' probation in connection with the death of his adopted daughter, 6, who was found buried in the backyard of his home last year.
A judge sentenced Joseph Schroer, 54, on Wednesday. He pleaded no contest in October to two counts of aggravated child endangerment and one count of Medicaid fraud.
His former-wife, Crystina Schroer, 51, previously pleaded no contest and was found guilty of second-degree murder, child abuse, making a false writing and theft. She was sentenced last month to eighteen years in prison.
