At Wednesday's meeting, the Sedgwick County Commission will hear its annual comprehensive financial report. Commissioner Jim Howell tells KNSS News it's part of the County's budget-writing process. He says the county's chief financial officer -- Lindsay Poe Rousseau -- will talk about the financial condition of the county government. Howell says "This is the biggest report of the year," revealing the county's "financial status."
The Commission will also continue planning for a new emergency management facility on land recently purchased at 41st South and Meridian. Commissioner Howell says money from the Department of Defense will pay for about 70% of the project, around $10 million.
Howell commented during the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
