A Sedgwick County Sheriff Deputy injured in a crash during a pursuit in downtown Wichita. According to the Sheriff's Department the deputy was pursuing a suspect in Wichita around midnight near Douglas and Topeka. The deputy's vehicle collided with a third vehicle, crashing into a building near the intersection.
The deputy and a woman who was in the third vehicle were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect vehicle fled from the scene and was later found abandoned.
