The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office arrested an off-duty detention deputy Saturday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Just before 1:05 a.m., a sheriff’s deputy stopped off-duty Deputy Angel Cisneros of Wichita for traffic violations in the northwest part of the city. During the traffic stop, the 21-year-old showed signs of impairment. He was arrested and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of DUI.
Cisneros has been employed by the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office since September 2023. The incident will be investigated through both the criminal and internal investigative processes.
