Sedgwick County pushes vaccination effort

Pete Meitzner

Sedgwick County Commission Chair Pete Meitzner tells KNSS News COVID patients are still taking beds in Wichita hospitals. He says the age of patients is coming down while the numbers "are creeping up". He says nearly all have not been vaccinated. He says the county is trying to coordinate with local facilities to place mobile vaccination units where they will do the most good.

As of Monday, 178,000 people in Sedgwick County had been given at least one vaccination shot. Meitzner commented during his weekly chat with Steve and Ted in the Morning on KNSS.
