Sedgwick County Commission Chair Ryan Baty tells KNSS News there is a real need to help our kids. He says several local government and civic organizations are constantly at work on the problem. Baty says there are 1,300 children in out-of-home placement in Sedgwick County. He says if the county doesn't reform the foster care system, society will deal with the aftermath.
Forbes recently ranked Wichita the third-best city in the U-S to move to. Baty says he is not surprised, when you factor in cost-of-living, cost of housing, and job opportunities, "this is the place to be."
Baty commented during his weekly chat with Steve and Ted in the Morning on KNSS.
