Sedgwick County's annual Severe Weather Safety program kicks off tonight (Monday) at the Valley Center Community Center. Cody Charvat with the County's Emergency Management tells KNSS News the program starts at 6:30 an it's open and free to the public. Charvat says, "just show up ready to learn and increase your weather I.Q." He says trained storm trackers will get a refresher course.

The sessions last about two hours, and there will be 14 programs through April 2. The next will Thursday at the Mount Hope Community building.
