It was apparently a busy weekend for Wichita shoppers over Thanksgiving. Mayor Brandon Whipple tells KNSS News consumer spending seems to be improving and that stimulates the local economy. He wants to see "more folks buying from our small businesses". He says busy Wichita stores are "a good sign, for sure".
With just a few weeks left in the year, the Wichita City Council is formalizing spending of federal pandemic relief money. Mayor Whipple some of that money will go for "workforce development", such as training, and cash will be available folr small busniesses.
Whipple commented during Mondays with the Mayor ... on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
