Dozens of people gathered Saturday evening for a candlelight vigil honoring a slain QuikTrip security officer.
That vigil took place near the QuikTrip at Murdock and Broadway in downtown Wichita for 39-year-old Will Robinson. Those that participated held candles, prayed and held a moment of silence.
Robinson was shot Wednesday night after escorting a person who was causing a disturbance at the QuikTrip store where he worked. He died Friday and left behind a wife and two kids.
Wichita Police say they arrested 41-year-old Laroy West of Wichita on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder and criminal possession of a firearm stemming from the shooting.
