After nearly a decade in the dark, the iconic spire atop Century II in downtown Wichita has been re-lit.
The lighting took place on Sunday after 9:30 p.m., following Family Movie Night at Riverfest. The event was part of the “I Choose Wichita” celebration.
The revival of the spire follows recent improvements to the landmark building, including the completion of a new blue roof last year.
The project was made possible through a collaboration between the City of Wichita, Park & Recreation, Public Works, ASM Global, and Wichita Festivals Inc.
