A stream advisory has been issued for the Big Ditch as it flows through Haysville.
The impacted area runs east of the South Seneca Street bridge in Haysville, to the confluence with the Arkansas River.
The KDHE issued the advisory due to a sewer overflow in Haysville, that caused concerns about E. coli and other contaminants.
Residents are advised to stay away from the waterway. Children and pets should not enter the stream.
Officials say the city is correcting the issues.
