A Kansas Department of Transportation geological survey has begun for the proposed East Kellogg expansion project, which will focus on the section of U.S. 400 between K-96 in east Wichita to Andover Road in Andover.
Survey activities will include coring the roadway and base material for analysis, which is needed for the project. The work should be completed by August.
KDOT says commuters should expect temporary single lane and shoulder lane closures while the survey work is taking place. Motorists are advised to stay alert and watch for survey workers and expect delays.
