Wichita Police arrested a teenage boy after a he struck and killed a pedestrian early Sunday morning in Old Town.
At 1:50 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of N. Washington and found a man who had been hit by a vehicle. Despite life-saving efforts by the arriving officers and EMS personnel who transported the man to the hospital, he later died from his injuries. The victim’s name has not been released.
The Wichita teen was arrested and booked into the Sedgwick County Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center for involuntary manslaughter and two counts of aggravated battery, all while driving under the influence.
