A teenage girl was killed in a single vehicle crash south of Jetmore on U.S. 283. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol the accident happened after 11 p.m. Thursday night. A pickup truck was eastbound on an unnamed road near U.S. 283. The driver left the roadway, entered the ditch, and rolled coming to a rest on the roof.
16-year-old Kasey Danaher of Jetmore was taken to Hodgeman County Health Center where she died. The KHP report notes that Danaher was not wearing a seat belt.
