A 15-year-old and 16-year-old were booked on several counts, including battery of a law enforcement officer, after they got into a physical altercation with Wichita Police officers.

The incident took place just before 7 p.m. Saturday at Roller City, located in the 3200 block of S. Meridian. WPD officers working an off-duty job at the facility were asked by the business to remove a 15-year-old girl who had become upset and threatened staff. A second officer assisted, but a 16-year-old boy struck him in the back of the head. Another physical altercation ensued as the second officer attempted to take the 16-year-old into custody. Officers requested additional patrol units to respond.
The two teens were taken into custody and transported to the Sedgwick County Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center.
The 15-year-old was booked for one count of assault, one count of battery of a law enforcement officer, and one ordinance violation for aggressive and harassing contact.
The 16-year-old was booked for one count of battery of a law enforcement officer and two counts of obstruction.
