Firefighters battled a house fire northeast of Rose Hill early Thursday evening.
Firefighters from Butler County and Andover were dispatched at about 6:15 p.m. to respond to the report of a house fire in the 13200 block of Southwest 140th Street, near Indianaola Road.
About a half-hour later, firefighters called for more help, and crews from Sedgwick County, Augusta, and Derby responded.
A third alarm was then called because of the low temperatures, and a pair of tankers freezing up; it was 10° at the time of the fire.
By 8:30 p.m., the fire was under control, and one homeowner was being treated at the scene for possible smoke inhalation.
