Three injured in northwest Wichita head-on crash

Three people suffered serious injuries after a head-on crash in northwest Wichita overnight.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 12:30 Sunday morning, on the exit ramp from southbound I-235 to westbound K-96. A vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Rolla, Kansas man was going the wrong way when it collided with another vehicle. A 31-year-old woman and her passenger, a 33-year-old man, both from Halstead, suffered serious injuries.

It's not clear why the first vehicle was going the wrong way.

The three victims were transported to a local hospital for their injuries.
