Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling a building fire in Derby Thursday night in the 300 block of South Water. An explosion alerted first responders to the scene around 9 p.m. Derby Fire Chief John Turner says it was a commercial building, "lots of combustibles in there."
Derby Fire was assisted by several other fire departments, including Wichita.
Two firefighters were treated for heat-related complaints at the scene. They were not hospitalized. No word on the cause of the blaze.
