The Wichita Police Department is investigating another double-shooting, the third case this week in which two people were shot and killed.
Before 6:30 a.m. Friday, officers were sent to do a welfare check at a home in the 4800 block of N. Portwest Street in The Moorings neighborhood, not far from 53rd Street North & Meridian.
Officers forced their way into the residence and found the bodies of an 80-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man; they'd been shot.
Police Lt. Aaron Moses said the two people are related to each other and that the shooting is “contained to that relationship.”
Police are not looking for any suspects in the case.
