Police are looking for a suspect after the city's latest homicide took place late Monday night in the southeast part of Wichita.
Police had made a traffic stop at Oliver & Harry, when they were flagged down for help by a woman driving a Dodge Avenger; inside the car was 19-year-old Quantin McIntosh, Jr., who had been shot. He was transported to the hospital, but later died.
Police Capt. Jason Stephens says the trouble began at the Burger King west of Oliver & Harry, when McIntosh got into a verbal argument with another person in the drive-thru lane, who was in a dark-colored four-door sedan.
The victim followed that car to the west; both cars stopped in the street at Harry & Roosevelt, near Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph hospital. Someone in the sedan fired shots at the Dodge Avenger, striking the car multiple times, and injuring McIntosh, who later died.
This is Wichita's 14th murder case in 14 weeks so far this year.
