
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI), the Labette County Sheriff’s Office, and the Parsons Police Department have arrested a man connected to the death of Kylie Caldwell, 28.
On Monday, Sept. 25, around 3:30 p.m., a man, 53, of Parsons, was arrested for interference with the judicial process; to conceal or destroy evidence of a crime. He was booked into the Labette County Jail.
On Monday and Tuesday, KBI agents and investigators executed search warrants at the suspect's apartment in Parsons, and on his vehicle.
On Wednesday, Sept. 27, at around 11:10 a.m., an arrest warrant was issued for suspision of second-degree murder connected to the death of Kylie Caldwell. It was then served to the suspect while he was in custody at the jail.
The suspect and Caldwell were acquaintances.
Formal charges are pending.
