Employees were required to receive the first dose of the vaccine by February 28 or been approved for a religious or medical exemption.
Out of 533 employees, 467 are fully vaccinated; five people have received at least one dose. The county has granted 60 exemptions, with only one employee out of compliance.
Commissioner Jim Howell called the mandate a rushed policy.
The commission approved the mandate on January 19. Had commissioners failed to do so, they risked losing over $11 million in federal funding.
