The water level at Cheney Reservoir has increased by more than a foot since last month.
Cheney Lake is the major source of water for the city of Wichita.
Nearly a month ago, the lake was more than eight-and-a-half feet below normal. Wichita has since recorded its rainiest November in the city's history, benefitting water levels at the reservoir.
Now, three weeks into November, Lake Cheney's water level is just a bit more than seven-and-a-half feet below normal, at nearly 59% full.
The City of Wichita is still in 'Stage 2' of the Drought Response Plan, and water restrictions remain in place.
