A Wichita police officer has been arrested following a domestic violence incident, according to authorities.
Police say the incident happened over the weekend and involved an off-duty officer. The officer was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of domestic violence-related charges. KWCH reports booking sheets for the Sedgwick County Jail show Grayson Hoofer was booked for domestic battery.
The Wichita Police Department confirmed an arrest was made and said the officer has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
The case remains under review, and authorities say more information will be released as it becomes available.
