At Tuesday's meeting the Wichita City Council will look at continuing the ICT One program with Sedgwick County. Mayor Brandon Whipple tells KNSS News it's "a pretty awesome program." The program puts mental health professionals on call to assist first responders on calls that involve persons with mental problems. The city will work with COMCARE to keep eight mental health professionals on call.
The Council will also consider issuing 30 million dollars in bonds to finance expansion and improvements at the YMCA facilities in northwest and south Wichita.
The Council will consider a contract to rent goats to control brush and poison ivy near the Sim Park Golf Course, south of 13th and Perry.
Whipple commented during Mondays with the Mayor on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
