It's back to work Tuesday for the Wichita City Council.
Some of the highlights of Tuesday's agenda includes a vote on approving the purchase of five fire engines at a cost of just over $4 million dollars. The council will also look at a proposal to purchase hoses, nozzles, adaptors, and other tools and equipment for the Fire Department, totaling just over $400 thousand. Both projects are in the city's capital improvement program and would be paid for by general obligation bonds.
Look for a vote on proposed improvements to League 42 in McAdams Park. The league has raised enough funds to add a fourth baseball field there to help alleviate overcrowding issues.
Some other topics the council will discuss Tuesday:
Sewer Lift Station Rehabilitation
Unified School District 259 Safety Improvements
Approval of Letter of Intent for Grant Application-Calfskin Creek Watershed
