Wichita City Council to focus on Fire Department

At Tuesday's meeting, the Wichita City Council will concentrate on the Fire Department. Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News will discuss equipment upgrades including trucks and radios, a total of $8.2 million. The Council will also talk about a $1.5 million design fee to replace two fire stations and build a new one in District 4 in southwest Wichita.

The Council will discuss the groundwater contamination site at 29th and Grove. Mayor says $125,000 will help pay for testing for those wh live in that neighborhood.  Sedgwick County will also contrbute money for testing.
