At Tuesday's meeting, the Wichita City Council will consider a rebate program for those who switch from gasoline to electric power for lawn and gardening and equipment. Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News they're looking at a $100 rebate. In previous years it was $50.
Wu is celebrating six weeks in office as Wichita mayor. Wu tells KNSS News there is one issue that's taking up most of the City Council's attention; the homeless. The City is holding a town hall on homelessness Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the Advanced Learning Center downtown.
Wu commented during Mondays with the Mayor with Steve and Ted in the Morning on KNSS.
