Tuesday's Wichita City Council meeting will start at 6 pm. Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News it could be a long meeting, focusing on a new parking plan for the City. Staff will present five options and citizens will have a chance to comment, with Council members considering a motion. The options range from a 75 cents-per-hour rate to doing nothing at all.
The Council will look at spending on several projects. Mayor Wu says the Council needs to keep one thing in mind; a budget deficit expected to balloon to $22 million next year. Wu says the Council needs to "prioritize" its spending options.
Wu commented during Mondays with the Mayor on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
