At Tuesday's meeting the Wichita City Council will discuss repairs and maintenance of the City's playground equipment. Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News the city makes investments in recreational facilities, and must spend money to repair and maintain such property.
The mayor also says the citizens are "our eyes and ears" in fighting crime. Wu says, "When something seems off, call 911" or Crimestoppers.
The mayor commented on the news that a 14-year-old has been arrested for the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old. Wu says there are programs available to help young people in dealing with their problems. She says such programs are always looking for mentors.
Wu commented during Mondays with the Mayor on the Steve and Ted in the Morning show on KNSS.
