Wichita police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 40-year-old man in the southeast part of Wichita.
Early Monday evening, officers responded to the Lincoln Meadow Apartments in the 9000 block of E. Lincoln (south of the Kansas Turnpike, west of Webb Road) to the report of a drowning.
EMS crews and Wichita Fire Department crews rendered life-saving measures on the victim by the pool. The man later died at the hospital, about an hour after the original call came in.
