A group of employees at Via Christi St. Francis, gathered outside of the hospital on Friday to protest the company's vaccine mandate.
Dozens of employees held signs and flags near Murdock and Emporia protesting the mandate.
In July Ascension Via Christi issued a news release that said they continue to focus on insuring their associates are protected, for the safety of patients and visitors, our associates, our families and loved ones, and the community.
Those employees who are not vaccinated following the midnight deadline on Friday, risk losing their jobs.
